It starts out well enough but gets lost somewhere before the midpoint. It might be that the protagonist is so passive. He doesn’t really have anyone to go up against. There’s no plan. He just lets himself be pushed from one event to another by external forces. ‪It revels in the look of blood under red light but there’s no real jeopardy. Ultimately it ends up feeling like unfulfilled potential. ‬
