A compelling but somewhat uneven story of survival, set in a world where the “water supply is lethally contaminated”. I’m sure my view is a byproduct of my ignorance of the culture, and there are subtleties I’m missing. That said, it has enough interesting moments to counterbalance the holes in the plot.
