Writing's a fight and this boy needs a battle
Mayhem (2017) is technically competent, but unfortunately it lacks the heavyweight punch of something like The Belko Experiment (2016). While the former is a story told, the latter is a story happening. One lives in the purgatory of exposition, the other does as it must.
I have to ask, how did this get the title Point Blank? I know this version is a remake of a French film of the same name, but there has to be at least a dozen other films with the same name on IMDB. I suppose it’s emblematic of the film itself. As unoriginal as the title suggests.
