It strikes me that the discourse around global warming is mired in an increasingly faith-based rhetoric. You either believe or you don’t. You believe in global warming or you have faith it’s only climate change. The problem is, faith stifles debate. We need to find a new way to discuss global warming in a way that cuts through the faith that everything will work out in the end. Perhaps evocative, apocalyptic images of the world burning is the only way to make some people understand what’s at stake.
